Introduction

Auto Reply Ping, a PlannedPing product, is a local-first Android app that helps you send safe, allowlist-first WhatsApp auto-replies using rules, templates, active hours, and optional AI fallback. Privacy is built into how the app works — your rules, templates, and reply history stay on your device by default, no account is required, and we do not operate a cloud platform that stores your messages.

This Privacy Policy explains what information may be collected, how it is used, and how your data is handled when you use the Auto Reply Ping app ("the App") or visit this website.

Information stored on your device

When you use Auto Reply Ping, the following data is stored locally on your device:

• Reply rules, templates, and linked settings
• Reply history and delivery outcomes
• Detected chat labels from notifications (contact names as shown in WhatsApp notifications)
• Active hours, safety limits, and app preferences
• OpenRouter API keys (encrypted locally, if you use optional AI replies)

This information is not transmitted to or stored on our servers as part of normal operation. Message content is used only on-device to decide whether and how to reply.

Information we may receive

Support communications

If you contact us by email for support or feedback, we receive your email address and the content of your message. We use this only to respond to your inquiry.

Limited app diagnostics

The App may collect limited, non-identifying diagnostic and usage information — such as device model, operating system version, app version, crash reports, and content-free interaction events. These events never include message text, contact names, phone numbers, or anything you type into the App. Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics may collect limited app diagnostics as configured in the release build.

How we use information

The limited information we may receive is used to:

• Provide and maintain the App.
• Respond to your support inquiries.
• Fix bugs and improve the user experience.
• Understand aggregate usage patterns.

No cloud sync, no account required

Auto Reply Ping does not require an account, login, or sign-up. We do not sync your rules, templates, or reply history to a cloud database as part of normal operation. Optional backup and export lets you save a JSON file to your device or share it with another app — OpenRouter API keys are never included in backups.

How Auto Reply Ping works with WhatsApp

Auto Reply Ping reads WhatsApp notifications to detect inbound messages and sends replies through WhatsApp's notification reply action. The App does not access your WhatsApp account data directly and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta.

Automated replies may violate WhatsApp's terms of service for your account type or region. Use conservative rules, allowlists, active hours, and human-like delays. You are responsible for how you use automated replies and for any account restriction that results.

Permissions

Auto Reply Ping asks for as little as it can, and only when a feature needs it:

• Notification access — required to detect inbound WhatsApp messages and send replies through the notification system. Without this permission, auto-replies cannot work.
• Battery and background access — recommended so the notification listener stays active on aggressive OEM devices. The App provides device-specific guidance in Setup Center.

Advertising

Auto Reply Ping displays ads to support the free tier on Android. Ads are served by Google AdMob (Google LLC). To serve ads, Google AdMob may collect device information, advertising identifiers, and app interaction data according to Google's Privacy Policy. Auto Reply Ping does not receive or store personally identifiable information from the ad SDK.

Pro subscribers can remove banner ads. See the in-app subscription screen for current plan details.

In-app purchases

Auto Reply Ping Pro subscriptions are processed through Google Play and are subject to Google's terms, billing policies, and refund policies. We do not directly collect or store your payment information — we receive only the entitlement state needed to unlock Pro features.

Third-party services

Auto Reply Ping interacts with the following third parties:

• WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — Auto Reply Ping replies through WhatsApp notifications. Not affiliated with Meta.
• OpenRouter — optional AI replies use your own OpenRouter API key through the Ping AI SDK. Keys are encrypted locally.
• Google AdMob (Google LLC) — serves ads in the free tier.
• Google Play (Google LLC) — distributes the App and processes subscriptions.
• Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics (Google LLC) — limited diagnostics as described above.

Your choices

• You can use Auto Reply Ping without creating an account.
• You can choose whether to enable optional AI replies.
• You can export or delete your data by uninstalling the App or using backup/export features.
• You can contact support or not — it's entirely optional.

Children's privacy

Auto Reply Ping is intended for adults using it for business or professional purposes. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or this website. Your continued use of Auto Reply Ping after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
